Medical Laboratory Technology also called as clinical laboratory science is a branch of medical science responsible for performing laboratory investigations relating to diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. As a part of the course, the students learn to perform the tests that help the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The course also equips candidates with the skills required to handle advanced equipment so as to perform accurate laboratory tests. The number of duties that a medical lab technologist performs makes the position highly demanding. Eligibility Criteria For B.Sc. MLT & DMLT:
Eligibility
A candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from CBSE/State boards or any other equivalent examination recognized by Manipur University, with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Zoology & Botany, and English, and must have passed in each of these subjects.
Age Limit
The candidate should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or on or before 31st December of the admission year.
Lateral Entry – B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT)
A) Admission to the second year is available for 10+2 science students with a 2-year Diploma in MLT.
B) Candidates who have passed a 2-year Diploma in MLT from any AICTE-recognized institution after their 10+2 science, with at least 50% aggregate marks, are eligible for second-year (lateral entry) admission, subject to seat availability.

Duration
2 years (4 semesters) with 6 months internship.
